Hey guys, I hope you all are doing well. With everything going on in the world, you may have questioned some things about yourself. You may have questioned your morals, values, and your viewpoints on the things going on out in the world. Maybe some of the things on social media and the news are bringing you down.

This week, I thought I take some time to remind you that you are good enough and worthy of good things. People are dealing with a lot of heavy emotions right now as well as uncertainty about different things. For example, parents and students are concerned if schools will reopen in the fall. What changes will come about with all the protesting. When people will be able to work again (to those who are still out of work). Questions like ‘should I be doing something different in my life?’, ‘when will the pandemic end’, and ‘how long are we going to live like this?’.

I too have been dealing with all the uncertainty and these heavy emotions. So your not the only person who is dealing with these things. Many people are in this predicament. Some people show it and some stay silent about it.

That said, I want to let you know that your doing all right.

To those of you who are trying everyday to keep yourself together, To those who are making do with what they got, To those who are adapting to the new norms, To those who are discovering new things about themselves and learning new things, To those who are being kind and humble to themselves and others, To those who are giving back and helping others:

You have Self-worth

Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. You are worthy of good things in your life. You are worthy of having good people in your life. It’s ok if the glass isn’t all the way full. You can be all right in the middle. If you are grateful for anything in your life, no matter how small, then you have self-worth. If you are loved by someone, you also have self-worth. I’ve mentioned before that you are unique and special. If you are taking care of yourself, like eating and maintaining good hygiene, then you have value and therefore you have self-worth. It’s a difficult time for us, but we must keep moving forward. Every now and then, I need to remind myself that I have self-worth. Hopefully this was a good reminder for you in case you were feeling down, needed clarification, or just needed a recharge. We have value, we have a voice, and we are good enough. Take care, stay safe, and remember your not alone.
