Quote Breakdown 3

Here’s another quote breakdown. Sorry for being MIA for a couple weeks. My body needed time to rest after quitting my last job and getting a new one.

With that said, it goes along with the quote. Things like a laptop, computer, TV, etc, sometimes will just freeze, not work right, not turn off, or take a while to load. When you unplug them for a bit, plug them back in, or restart them, the device will usually start working right.

If your running on barely any sleep, no rest, not eating healthy, for an extended period of time, your body won’t work right. If you’re exercising, working, or studying long hours, traveling long distances, you need that time and rest to unplug and renergize.

Have you heard or said these sayings:

  • ‘I’ll rest after I get this done’,
  • ‘I’ll take a break just as soon this is finished’
  • ‘I’ve got to get this done, I’ll eat later’.

When you were done with what it was you were working on, did you take a break, or did you move on to something else thinking it would take a couple minutes when or actually didn’t? If you said yes, you’re not alone. I’m guilty of this so is your best friend, spouse, teacher, boss, fellow students, girlfriend, and boyfriend.

The overall moral is that if you take the time to rest and recharge, you can do what you need to do and more. How long that rest is varies for all people. It could be a day, hour, 30 minutes, sometimes a week, only your body knows. Sometimes it will take trial and error to figure it out and that’s ok.

Take care, stay safe, and remember your not alone and you have worth in this world.

Quote Breakdown 2

So here’s another quote break down. Sorry for not posting last week. I was recovering from Covid and getting my strength back. Here’s a quote that I personally can relate to.

Now one may think, ‘well I can’t be tough if I’m fragile’. ‘Tough’ and ‘fragile’ are words that don’t go together I know. Some people believe that to be tough they can’t have any emotions affecting their mindset. Vulnerability is a concept that I have talked about before.

To be fragile is to be vulnerable which is scary. Being vulnerable means revealing your true self and true feelings with no filters. Some people are highly concerned with others judging them and not feeling accepted.

Those who do embrace vulnerability are the tough ones. If you do struggle with being vulnerable to others, your not alone. People at various ages young and old struggle with this concept.

The second part of the quote is similar to the first part. Being tender toward another person and toward oneself is a trait that not everyone has. In other words, having the ability to be patient with yourself and others is wonderful. It also means that you are able to be gentle with yourself and not hard on what you do or say.

Now how does being tender mean you are fierce? The word fierce is just another way of symbolizing strong emotional strength and personal growth. I hope this break down wasn’t too hard to understand.

Take care, stay safe, and remember your not alone and you have worth in this world.

Quote Breakdown

So here is something brand new. I’m going to be discussing and breaking down various life quotes. These kinds of posts won’t be super long. Some quotes can be a bit tough to understand and find the message in them. My intention is to break them down part by part, explain it in layman’s terms, and provide some extra information.

So as I have mentioned before it’s important to take care of yourself mentally, physically, spirituality, and emotionally. Sometimes when we want to take time for ourselves, we feel guilty because we think it’s selfish. That’s where the ‘me first’ can come into the picture.

Are we taught that taking care of ourselves is selfish? The answer is yes and no. We can be taught it upfront face to face. We can indirectly learn it from the conversations we have with people, what we are taught, and from the behaviors and actions of others.

If this sounds like you then you are not alone. I have dealt with this concept numerous times even during my social media hiatus back in 2020 as well as last year. You are allowed free time.

In fact, you need that time to recharge yourself, heal, figure things out, or just simply give your mind and body a rest. Are running on fumes right now? Is the person you said hi to, the person you just saw get up and walk away, or are the person sitting next you running off of no sleep and low energy?

Only you can answer those questions. Sometimes people need ‘me’ time away from people to work on themselves, need quiet time, and be away from the business of our society. There is only one of you in this world. As I have mentioned in the past, that makes you special and unique. That is a great reason alone to take care of yourself in however you need to. As long as your not hurting yourself, your good. Your real friends and family members will understand when you need to take time for yourself.

Take care, stay safe, and remember your not alone and you have worth in this world.
