How It All Started…

I’m Joe Felicjan.

I have had a lot of ups and downs in my life. One situation back in my sophomore year of high school was bad and I had to get counseling for it. I noticed that I liked what my counselor was informing me. I took the advice and ran with it. When I graduated high school, I was studying Electronics and after a year and a half with that at Lorain County Community College in Elyria, Ohio which I didn’t like.

So I transferred to the University of Akron in Akron, Ohio and declared Psychology as my major. I got counseling in college as well to deal other things going on in my life a few times. I graduated college in 2013 and took a year off. I enrolled in Grand Canyon University’s online masters professional counseling program in 2015. I got my Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling in 2018.

My journey into blogging started in the fall of 2019. I had thought about blogging the year before, but didn’t get into it due to grad school and a full-time job. I got hurt by someone I cared a lot about one day. Then the next day, my brother-in-law passed away. During his eulogy, I discovered how fearless he was in life. It was a side I didn’t get to know very well. I decided to take that leap of faith, start this blog, and run with it. Writing is therapeutic; it’s helped me grow as a person and be more open-minded.

I have studied psychology and numerous self care techniques and methods since 2005. My goal is to help you feel that you are not alone in dealing with the problems and crap that happens to you. I will talk about the things we may encounter in life and give tips on how to better deal with the situation or eliminate it. You think you’re the only one dealing with the problem that is ailing you right now, I’m here to inform you that you’re wrong; someone else is as well.
